We are pleased to announce the new partnership between Mark Allen and Michael van der Roest. Mark and Michael have joined forces to create Blossom, an entertainment marketing agency that focuses on elevating the careers of artists.
With a passion for helping artists achieve their unique creative vision and success, Mark Allen brings a no-nonsense New York flavor to his home base of Los Angeles, California. He's worn many hats in the industry over the span of 15 years... having worked as a concert lighting designer at the Knitting Factory (NYC), a booking agent assistant at Noise Problem Booking, a marketing assistant at Webster Hall (NYC), a label publicist at Boys Noize Records (Berlin), a publicist for Joe’s Pub at the Public Theater (NYC), and is currently an artist and record label manager working with several notable major label and independent performers, writers, and producers.
Mark - "Working on behalf of artists has been a labor of love all my adult life. I'm just happy to be working with Michael and begin this new chapter with someone who has the work ethic and breadth of marketing knowledge."
Michael hasn't wandered far from Southern California or his childhood interests (music). With over 8 years of marketing experience, Michael has quickly climbed the ladder of creative marketing by crafting the art of SEO, social media, content marketing and franchise brand management. With OC & LA housing a hotbed of musical talent, Michael saw the opportunity to shift his marketing experience into a way to help friends and local talent. Therein sprouted, uPromote Marketing, an artist management and marketing company. His involvement with artist marketing and event promotions soon trickled down into bookings, management and music publishing with Angry Mob Music.
Michael - "I couldn't be more excited to start Blossom and work with Mark. He brings a wealth of experience and strong network that has been developed organically through his many years in the industry. Not only does he know marketing, but he knows talent and artists. He knows what's important to them and the appropriate steps that should be taken in response to their specific needs."
